Prevention and control of forest fires
Responding to one of the main threats to the territory.
We actively work on the prevention, monitoring, and response to forest fires using community-based and collaborative approaches. Through on-the-ground action and coordination with diverse stakeholders, we aim to reduce risks and strengthen local response capacity.

Axes of action

Tapir Volunteer Brigade
The Tapir Brigade is Florestania's operational arm for forest fire prevention and response. We coordinate with the Pando Fire Department, manage equipment, and strengthen local capabilities during fire season.

Articulation and alliances
We collaborate with young people, artists, and local actors to raise awareness and mobilize action against wildfires. This allows us to broaden our reach and generate a greater impact on prevention.

Training and education
We develop training programs in conjunction with firefighters and the Red Cross, strengthening local capacities in prevention and response. This allows for greater autonomy in risk management.

Territorial prevention
We implement environmental monitoring and community strategies to reduce the incidence of fires. This allows us to anticipate risks and act before critical events occur.
